Account book of Irish Jesuit property. Includes a description of the finances of the Irish Mission account, written by Fr John Fullam SJ. Remarks 'In 1760 this mission had in Paris a capital of £1000 ster. including the deposits of individuals and what belonged to different residences. By the persecution which ensued the whole was nearly despaired of when by Fr Crookshank's activity and cleverness about half that sum was recovered and transmitted to Ireland where Mr Ward placed it as occasions presented.'

Relates the story of a young novice who went blind and was cured after praying to the Blessed Virgin. (In Italian). A handwritten note in English by ‘J.F.M.’ (possible Fr James Murphy SJ, Irish Provincial) states that the novice was later dismissed from the Society after becoming ‘a regular “ecstatic”’. Album from Patrick O'Mara’s time as a student at Valkenberg, The Netherlands. The album contains farewell poems in German, Latin, Greek and English by O'Mara’s classmates; a series of photographs and numerous insertions. For preservation reasons the photographs have been removed from the album and are listed below in the order in which they appear. A note in pencil in the album indicates their original position. A photograph of the mill at Valkenburg appears to be missing between J552/ 33 and 34. Unrelated paper insertions have also been listed separately. Photographs of O'Mara at other stages in his early career in the Society of Jesus are included at the end of the album.
