A file relating to a letter from Fr Patrick Barrett SJ, The Retreat House, Rathfarnham Castle, County Dublin to Archbishop Edward J. Byrne, Archbishop's House, Dublin asking him to make a personal subscription towards the building of a new oratory or chapel for the Retreat House. Describes the unsuitability of the existing chapel. (17 November 1926, 1p). Includes a copy letter from Irish Fr Provincial John Fahy SJ to the Archbishop apologising for any upset caused by Fr Barrett's letter (22 November 1926, 2pp).
