Preserved at Stonyhurst College, Lancashure, England till transferred in 1866 to the Jesuits in Ireland. Long known from descriptions and transcriptions made by Fr John MacErlean SJ, there arrival at Stonyhurst is not known, since they were sent to Rome, Italy and were contained in ARSI, Anglia 29 (where the binding for this volume of letters is still extant). At ARSI, there is a copy of a list from J.T. Gilbert, ed., 'Historical Manuscripts Commission, Tenth Report, Appendix Part V', London, 1885, pp.340-41, which corresponds exactly to 'Memorial of Irish Province SJ', June 1904, pp350-51.

Rediscovered in November 1985 at the Jesuit curia, Eglinton Road, Dublin and restored to the Irish Jesuit Archives.
