Refers to the mission in which he finds himself, and to the Jesuits who work there, most of whom are English. Also describes the Irish who have come to the area. Claims that they lose self respect there, and refers to the bad quality of their houses, and to their drinking. Adds that ‘[t]he women are awful’. (Incomplete).
