Articles by Fr Kevin Laheen SJ entitled ‘The Jesuit Connection’ and ‘Sacred Heart Statute’ which describes the statute by Albert Power of the Sacred Heart in the grounds of the parish church in Knock, County Mayo which had previously been situated in Rathfarnham Castle. Guinness workers who attended weekend retreats at the Castle paid for the statute. See Irish Province News, September 1931 as statute erected in June 1931.

Remarks ‘…not been able to establish where Fr was ordained…some time between 1787 and 1793’ (19 October 1999). Includes map of the Isle of Man with ecclesiastical sites marked. Includes two articles related to Fr Matthew Gahan SJ ‘Apostle of the Isle of Man’ by Rev. William S. Dempsey and ‘To the Greater Glory of God’.

Typed manuscript on Fr John Bannon SJ. The first portion of the manuscript is an introduction by Fr Kevin A Laheen SJ and traces the earlier years of Fr Bannon before he became a Jesuit. The second part of the manuscript by Fr William Barnaby Faherty SJ is entitled 'Father John Bannon, S.J. (1829 - 1913)'.

Note from Fr. Kevin Laheen SJ explaining a note he received from Sr Bernadette, (Provincial of the Irish Sisters of Charity) ‘telling me that Fr John St. Leger was ordained in their community chapel in Stanhope Street in 1825 (16 June) by Archbishop Murray’. Explains that a plaque which was displayed recording this event in the chapel (dining room) has since been lost. He saw the plaque in 1952.

Includes visitors’ guide (FM/RATH/256) on Rathfarnham Castle history from 16th to 20th century, produced by the Office of Public Works. Words in guide are crossed out, ‘but those on the first ceilings are not now thought to be her work’ and replaced with ‘attributed to the artists Patrick Tuohy’.
