A file relating to the will of Matilda O'Donnell in which she bequeathed the residue of her property to her trustees and executors, Fr. Thomas V. Nolan SJ and Fr Michael Browne SJ, Upper Gardiner Street, Dublin. The file contains extensive background material that appears to have little to do with the Society of Jesus and their bequest. However, as Frs. Nolan and Browne were appointed as trustees and executors of the will it may have been necessary to acquaint themselves fully with Miss Matilda O'Donnell's affairs.

We have a priest and portable altar with us and I hope the first masses which can have been offered here since the reformation will bring a blessing on my son's taking possession.' They fired into one of the Curate's houses…They have also considerably damaged the town by throwing grenades into the shops.' (20 September [ ], 2pp). Includes a letter referring to the outbreak of 'flu in Galway. Remarks that there have been a number of deaths. Refers to St Ignatius Hall and remarks that it has not been used because there is no lighting or heating installed. (25 February 1919, 4pp).
