Photographs are pasted into the album and relate to the following subjects: the interior and exterior of the St Mary's, Emo, gardens, farm, lake, the winter landscape, trees, Jesuit alterations to the house, individuals playing golf and men seated on a wall. Includes group photograph of six Jesuits in the garden, Cormac Gallagher, -,-, Alan Mowbray, Dermot Murray,-. Seven photographs were loose therefore these are stored in mylar sleeves. The photographs have captions by Fr Frank Browne on the reverse. These include:

  • A philosopher of the by road - Study by "F"
  • It did not ring! - For the first time in 70 years this bell did not call the people to Mass last Sunday. When lighting struck the Church of the Sacred Heart, Courtwood, near Ballybrittas, Leix, on Saturday morning it demolished the bell tower. Falling debris seriously damaged the roof of the n. aisle.
  • 3rd Centenary of the "Annals of the Four Masters" ‘Moygara Caste, Co Roscommon [Gurteen, County Sligo]

Notice which has been taken out of its frame previously hung in the Jesuit community, Gardiner Street, which indicates the 'Religious duties obligatory on all members of the staff who live in the house'. Details times of mass and communion. Indicates that 'repeated violations of any of the above regulations particularly with regard to attendance at daily mass, will incur dismissal from the Service'. Green scrapbook which documents events in aid of and at the Columban Hall, Sea Road, Galway. Includes inserts relating to advertisements for plays, concerts, lectures, fancy carnivals, newspaper clippings of reviews of such events and applications for entertainment tax exemptions. The scrapbook is arranged chronologically from 1934 to 1960 and contains programmes for the Columban Dramatic Society, Columban Players, Columban Hall Entertainments Committee and Coláiste Iognáid Drama Group. An Post produced four stamps commemorating the centenary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. One of the 55c stamps, shows Fr Frank Browne SJ, who travelled aboard the Titanic from Southampton to Cork, with the Titanic at anchor off Cobh. Kept by Fr Eddie O'Donnell SJ.

'The Day Before Yesterday - Father Browne's Dublin

Invitation and booklet on an exhibition entitled, 'The Day Before Yesterday - Father Browne's Dublin, 1922-1949', curated by Peter Walsh, at the Guinness Hop Store, Dublin. Includes catalogue to 174 photographs exhibited. 'The Day Before Yesterday' became a six-part series which traced the origins of the Irish state through the photographs of Fr Browne. It was made by Promedia for RTÉ Television. The first episode was broadcast on 6 April 1994.
