Letter from Máire Ní Bhriain (Máire O'Brien), 43 Mespil Road, Dublin to Fr Edward Cahill SJ concerning the resignation of her post in Madrid after the signing of the Treaty and '...on receiving Gavan Duffy's "Free State" instructions - the carrying out of which would have been entirely against my principles.' Remarks that she was then offered a job on '...Fine Ghaedheal by my former "boss"...Bob Brennan and we are working together very harmoniously linking up the Irish race.
