For example, April - June 1892, Br Norton spent on 17 shillings and 9 pence on socks, braces, snuff and soft hat; January - November 1897, Fr Bannon spent 7 pounds, 6 shillings and 6 pence on apothecary, bookmaker, Galway, doctor and hosiers (203pp).
